Were You a Part of Education-Twitter history – via EducationCEO’s blog

I couldn’t “tweet in” last night, but EducationCEO was there.  Check out her reflection on her blog.  I am fascinated by the power of technology to bring a group of people together and discuss such a critical issue as Black Education.  If you missed it or just want to go back to it, check out the transcript below.

And a big thank you goes out to Twitter’s very own @journalproject for organizing the chat.

Thanks so much for the mention of #BlackEd and my blog post! We are excited by the number of people who participated, as well as those who wanted to be present but had other obligations! We will come together every Thursday evening at 9 EST for 1 hour to discuss issues related to educating Black students and parents. All are welcome, especially if you work with Black students in a school setting or mentoring/service-provider capacity. We need to hear from you! It will take a committed, motivated, and diverse group of individuals to address and start working on these pressing issues.

Special shout-out to @journalproject for her initiative in getting this chat off the ground!
